Royal Enfield is making waves in the motorcycle industry once again, this time expanding its presence in the 650cc segment. Known for its dominance in the 350cc motorcycle segment, Royal Enfield has won hearts with its powerful torque, old-school styling, and smart upgrades from the UCE engine to the J-series engine. Riders have loved the roar of these machines on highways and have been thoroughly satisfied with the brand.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin
Building on this success, Royal Enfield is set to launch one of the most affordable bikes in the 650cc segment: The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin. This new model is based on the Shotgun platform, retaining the original classic feel that fans adore.
Engine and Performance
The Classic 650 Twin will feature a powerful 648cc parallel-twin engine, similar to its predecessors. This engine will have chrome castings reminiscent of the previous classic versions, producing 46bhp and 52.3Nm of torque. This setup ensures that the Classic 650 Twin will deliver the same robust performance that Royal Enfield riders have come to expect.
Suspension and Handling
The bike will come equipped with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, providing a smooth and controlled ride. This suspension setup is designed to handle various terrains, making it suitable for both city rides and long-distance journeys.

Classic Design Elements
Royal Enfield is keen on maintaining the old-school charm in the Classic 650 Twin. The bike will feature the same LED headlamp and halogen pilot lamps (commonly referred to as “eyes”) found in the smaller cc models. The turn indicators will be standard halogen with orange lenses, further contributing to the vintage aesthetic.
Wheels and Exhaust
The Classic 650 Twin will come with spoke wheels as standard, with alloy wheels available as an optional upgrade for an additional charge. This allows customers to choose between a more traditional look or a modern touch. Additionally, the bike will feature a dual exhaust system, similar to other models in the 650cc lineup, ensuring a powerful and throaty exhaust note.
Future Plans: The Bullet 650
Royal Enfield is currently testing the new Royal Enfield Bullet 650, which has been seen in Europe. This highly anticipated model is expected to bring even more excitement to the 650cc segment, and further details will be revealed in due course.
