The Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650, a scrambler-inspired addition to the 650cc platform, has officially launched in India, only days after its global debut. This motorcycle, designed to capture the rugged essence of the 1960s and ‘70s scramblers, is priced between ₹3.39 lakh and ₹3.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Interceptor Bear 650 boasts classic scrambler aesthetics paired with modern upgrades. It features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup, equipped with MRF Nylorex dual-purpose tires to ensure stability across terrains. LED lighting throughout adds a modern touch, enhancing visibility and style, while a robust 43 mm Showa USD front fork provides 130 mm of travel for enhanced shock absorption. The rear includes new twin shock absorbers with a 115 mm travel range.
Dimensions & Braking
With a ground clearance of 184 mm and a seat height of 830 mm, the Interceptor Bear 650 offers comfortable riding for various rider heights and road conditions. It includes a 320 mm front disc brake, which is larger than that on the Interceptor 650, for improved stopping power, along with switchable dual-channel ABS for added safety.

Power & Performance
Powered by a 648 cc parallel-twin engine, this bike produces 47 bhp at 7,150 rpm and 57 Nm of peak torque at 5,150 rpm. Its performance is complemented by a 6-speed gearbox and a new two-into-one exhaust system that gives the bike a balanced power delivery and a distinctive exhaust note. With a kerb weight of 216 kg, the Interceptor Bear 650 is sturdy, yet responsive on various road types.
