2025 Ducati Streetfighter V2 and V2 S Launched in India

Ducati has introduced the 2025 Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V2 S in India, expanding its premium naked motorcycle lineup with updated performance, advanced technology and refined ergonomics. Prices start at ₹17.50 lakh for the V2 and ₹19.49 lakh for the V2 S (ex-showroom), as confirmed by Hindustan Times Auto and Autocar India. Both models are offered in Ducati Red and are now available across dealerships.

Aggressive Naked Streetfighter Language

The new Streetfighter V2 series continues with Ducati’s “Fight Formula” design, inspired by the Panigale V2 but adapted for a naked format. Sharp body panels, an exposed frame and a compact headlamp give the motorcycle a muscular and minimalistic appearance.

Ergonomics Focused on Real-World Riding

A major update for 2025 is the variable-section aluminium handlebar, replacing clip-ons for a more upright riding position. The footpeg geometry and seat height are set to maintain a sporty yet comfortable posture, suitable for both city and spirited weekend riding.

Tyres Supporting Better Grip and Stability

Ducati has equipped both variants with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres — 120/70 front and 190/55 rear — enhancing cornering stability and overall road grip.

Comprehensive Electronic Suite

The Streetfighter V2 range is built around a 6-axis IMU-based electronic package, featuring Cornering ABS with slide-by-brake, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Wheelie Control (DWC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0. These updates improve safety and performance, especially during aggressive riding.

Riding Modes and Display

A 5-inch TFT display offers access to Race, Sport, Road and Wet riding modes. These modes fine-tune throttle response, traction control and ABS intervention based on rider preference and conditions.

Optional Performance Add-ons

An optional racing exhaust is available, which increases power output to 126 hp and reduces overall weight by approximately 4.5 kg, according to Times of India.

Performance and Ride Dynamics

New 890cc V-Twin Engine

Both the V2 and V2 S are powered by Ducati’s new 890cc Euro 5+ compliant V2 engine, producing 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm. Autocar India reports that Ducati considers this the lightest twin-cylinder engine they have ever developed, contributing to improved handling.

Lightweight Chassis Engineering

The monocoque chassis uses the engine as a stressed member — a design derived from the Panigale V2 — resulting in high rigidity and enhanced cornering performance.

Suspension and Braking Setup

• V2: Fully adjustable Marzocchi fork + KYB rear shock
• V2 S: Fully adjustable Öhlins NIX-30 fork + Öhlins shock

Both variants get Brembo M50 monobloc calipers paired with twin 320 mm discs for powerful braking.

Premium Hardware on the S Variant

The V2 S stands apart with its Öhlins suspension, offering more precision and adjustability. It is also lighter, with a 175 kg dry weight, compared to 178 kg on the standard V2.

Added Electronic Features

India Today confirms that the V2 S receives extra features such as Ducati Power Launch (Launch Control) and a pit-limiter, making it more suited for track-focused riders.

Price Gap Justification

The nearly ₹2 lakh price difference reflects the suspension upgrade, additional electronic aids and slight weight reduction.
